Add scrollable alphabetical index to list view
Right now, to scroll down alphabetically you have to keep scrolling through all albums until the lettered section. It would be really useful if we had a way to speed up scrolling by letting you jump section by section.

Hi @Logan Spencer — great suggestion, I like this idea.
Just to make sure I’m understanding correctly, are you referring to the Collection view or the Wishlist view?
If you’re in:
Collection Tab → Filter → View = List
There are a couple of options available today:
You can sort by Artist or Album Name
You can also set it to Ascending or Descending order
Also, you can use the scroll bar on the right side — if you tap and drag it, it allows you to move quickly through the list.
Let me know if you’re referring to a different area or flow — happy to take another look.

Yep that’s the list! Discogs has this feature when searching through your collection. It actually can change between Alphabetical sorting or date.

hi @Logan Spencer Got it — that makes sense.
Out of curiosity, how large is your collection today?
I just want to make sure I fully understand the problem you’re trying to solve. It sounds like when you’re in a larger collection, you want a faster way to jump to a specific section — for example, albums starting with “T” or “W” — without having to scroll manually.
Right now, you can drag the scroll bar to move quickly, but what you’re describing (similar to Discogs) sounds more like a one-tap alphabetical index that lets you jump directly to a letter with a smoother, more intentional navigation experience.
Is that the main idea — making it quicker and easier to navigate large collections?

My collection is at 335 records but I do plan to add CDs as well which I have 50ish. But yep just a nice to have for skipping to sections with a tap

Congrats — that’s an impressive collection!
This makes total sense, and I think it’s a great feature. Thank you for the feedback and for using and testing Needl.
I’ll let you know once it’s live — I’m already working in that area, so it should be out within the next 1–2 days.
